Yellow Red Blue

Poetry Of Sorts
~ Yellow Red Blue ~
 LISTEN  TO  THE  POEM (SOON)

Yellow Red Blue

My favourite fruit, that awful suit
A sun that sets, the stars that shoot
My cowardice, that shy first kiss
Champagne we share, your hair your hair

My first beach ball, boots in the hall
An old tile roof, the leaves that fall
My beating heart, your thighs apart
Birth mark on hips, your lips your lips

My swimming pool, canapy cool
A sky so vast, in sea we'd fool
My morbid mood, by night we wooed
Drowning in sighs, your eyes your eyes

Ladybird

Poetry Of Sorts
~ Ladybird ~
 LISTEN  TO  THE  POEM (SOON)

Ladybird

The ladybird is rarely heard
She seldom sings or thinks of things
And when she lingers on my fingers
Spots and dots are what she brings

Poet Tree

Poetry Of Sorts
~ Poet Tree ~
 LISTEN  TO  THE  POEM (SOON)

Poet Tree

There are three types of poetry
One uses rhyme exclusively

Another trembles, bends its knee
Metaphors soothe, sweet simile

The third is slyer, sneaky tooth
A crouching tiger, voting booth

As wry as whiskey with an 'e'
Which, being Scots, is big o' me

Her

Poetry Of Sorts
~ Her ~
 LISTEN  TO  THE  POEM (SOON)

Her

She's bent double, hand out
For a hand out, crawling concrete
Crossing rubble, seen her
Cross, the old Pont Neuf
Rue Saint-André des Art
She's far from artful
Then Montmartreful
Where she hasn't been
Bent double what
She hasn't seen
I've seen her
Sun-up day time
Sun-down slay time
Sick and tired
She's clinging to that stick
She's sticking to her guns
If she had ones
She'd shout, she'd mumble
Listen to the thunder rumble
But all she's got's a hand
A hand stuck out
For a backhander
And a back bent double

Be There

Poetry Of Sorts
~ Be There ~
 LISTEN  TO  THE  POEM (SOON)

Be There

Crumpled paper Crunchie wrapper
Times sublimes the floor not feeling
Dapper date is late and reeling
Gaze is raised up to the ceiling

Smile upon my face is riling
Damn the muddle slam the late night
Filing's not my thing all right
I flim and fuddle grinning bright
